Q: What makes KABS MBA track so special?
A: KABS(Korea Asia Business Study) MBA track is unique in its educational portfolio, which provides an optimal combination of learning for international students as well as Korean students who have studied abroad up until bachelor’s degree. KABS track covers management theories and practices, industrial and cultural understandings on Korea and Asia. To provide lectures on Asian culture, business and economy, we often invite visiting professors from other Asian countries. Up until now, professors from Japan, India, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Turkey have visited to deliver selected regular courses of KABS track. KABS students also have opportunities to interact with other Korean MBA students, especially students in YES MBA track, who are preparing to run family owned companies.
Q: Is Korean language proficiency required?
A: No. As all the courses of this track are delivered in English, Korean language proficiency is not a requirement. However, learning local language is encouraged to better understand Korean and Asian culture.
Q: Where the students of KABS MBA are from?
A: The students of KABS between 2017 (opening of the track) and 2019 are from the following countries: Belgium, Brazil, China, Chile, Columbia, Estonia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, U.S.A., Vietnam, Yemen. The diversity of students provides ample opportunities to learn various cultural and industrial understandings from each other.
Q: Where the students are staying during studying?
A: Most of the KABS students are staying at the international students domitory of the university. However, some students prefer staying at appartments outside of the campus. As Hanyang University is located close to the center of Seoul city and very well connected by metro (such as line no.2 and no. 5, Bundang line, Korail city line) and buses, there are many alternatives to choose from.
Q: What scholarship opportunities are there?
A: Many of the students of KABS receive a very supportive Korean government scholarship. The university also provides ample scholarship opportunities to KABS students.
