2024년부터 한양대학교 경영대학의 OSM (Operations and Service Management) 전공 부교수로 재직 중이다. 한양대학교에 부임하기 전에는 미국 Kansas State University 경영대학에서 OSCM (Operations and Supply Chain Management) 전공 주임 겸 부교수 (정년 보장)로 근무하였다. 한양대학교에서 경영학 학사를 취득하고 서울대학교 경영대학에서 석사 (생산관리 전공), 미국 Michigan State University에서 경영학 박사 (Supply Chain Management 전공) 학위를 취득하였다. 학부와 대학원 과정에서 Global Operations and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics, Decision Analytics 분야의 다양한 과목들을 강의해오고 있다. 주요 연구 관심 분야는 공급사슬의 지속가능성, 조직/개인 간 네트워크 및 전략적 아웃소싱이 공급사슬 성과에 미치는 영향, 공급사슬 내 영리-비영리 부문 간 협업 등이며 연구 결과는 Decision SciencesInternational Journal of Production EconomicsInternational Journal of Production ResearchTotal Quality Management & Business Excellence 등의 국제학술지에 논문으로 게재되었다.

RESEARCH GOALS

M.K. Kim’s research interests broadly lie in data-driven managerial decision-making in supply chains, interfirm networks, and strategic sourcing. Through this research agenda, he specifically aims to better understand the inter-organizational and interpersonal dynamics of multiple supply network entities and their impact on firm- and network-level performance outcomes. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Decision SciencesInternational Journal of Production EconomicsInternational Journal of Production Research, and Total Quality Management & Business Excellence, among others. With a keen interest in investigating these research interests in both public and private domains, M.K. Kim is driven to explore how these insights can inform and improve decision-making processes across various sectors and industries.
